Experience

Mark partners with his clients in a way that is both personal and professional that both the outcome and the process of reaching that outcome are rich learning experiences.

Mark started his career as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia with Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG). Mark spent more than 20 years in merchant and investment banking roles with six years at chief executive level. He has a thorough working knowledge of the Australian financial system and business systems generally. Mark co-founded the bond trading house, Grange Securities, which was acquired by an American investment bank in 2007. Mark returned to study psychotherapy in the late 1990s and since then has worked between his private psychotherapy practice and as a consulting executive coach and facilitator.

Mark’s capacity for exploring the complexity of a situation with his clients, of considering the perspectives of relevant stakeholders and then together exploring ideas, alternatives and adaptive, practical opportunities is supported by his psychotherapeutic training. He is particularly interested in assisting clients to develop their management and leadership capacities and the interpersonal aspects of these skills.

Clients often comment on how easily they formed a trusting working relationship with him that enabled them to meaningfully explore issues and co-create positive outcomes. They also mention how much they enjoyed that process.

Mark breeds Clydesdale horses on his property in the Macedon Ranges.
