Experience
Laini has an impressive combination of psychology qualifications and almost 20 years' experience in business, human resources, coaching and consulting, in Australia and the UK. Laini’s experience spans the public and private sectors, national and global multinational organisations, and has included mergers, demergers and acquisitions.
In the late 1990s, while working at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia evaluating the effectiveness of its human resources interventions, Laini coached senior leaders, drawing on her innate ability to engage with them and influence their decisions regarding their return on investment.
Laini’s subsequent role was with the Hay Group, a human resource management consultancy, in Australia and the UK. Laini specialised in leadership assessment and development. This involved assessing leaders against behavioural models and developing their capability around gaining stakeholder buy-in, transitioning from operational to strategic roles, leading teams, emotional intelligence and coaching skills.
Since 2002, Laini has established and run executive coaching companies in the UK and Australia. She has gained significant experience working with middle to senior management around issues such as developing leadership styles, gaining buy-in, managing teams, promotion to leadership roles, developing and raising personal profile and increasing self-awareness to build longer term leadership capability.
Laini leverages her broad and diverse experience to effectively navigate her clients through a mix of climates, cultures and political landscapes. She has to hand a broad range of tools, techniques and methodologies that she draws on to help her clients achieve their business outcomes. She has a warm yet challenging style that assists her clients in becoming more focused, influential and successful.
Maternity coaching is a special interest which sees her working with parents and organisations to successfully navigate and manage transitions into and out of parental leave.
