Experience

Kieran started his career in 1990 as a chartered management accountant with pharmaceutical company Abbott Laboratories, in Ireland, before moving into the IT industry. Kieran then worked for 10 years in IT, including a period as Finance Director, Asia Pacific Shared Financial Services, for Sun Microsystems. In that role he had responsibility for more than 100 staff based in eight Asia Pacific locations. Kieran’s tenure with Sun also included five years as a project manager helping to establish four shared services centres globally, which would be tasked with supporting almost US$16 billion in annual revenue.

In 2003, Kieran made a career change into the world of executive coaching. Since then he has coached many senior executives, from CEO level to high potentials, and worked with more than 60 groups and intact teams.

Kieran’s particular passion is around supporting leaders in showing up authentically, helping them to step powerfully into their leadership roles, in the context of the Organisation’s goals and objectives.

Kieran often works with groups and teams for periods of 6-12 months, which continues to inform Kieran’s deep understanding of how individuals, teams and systems interconnect. Kieran brings this systems thinking to both his team and individual coaching.

Kieran has also been a faculty member at the Jansen Newman Institute in Sydney since 2005, teaching group/ team dynamics, and facilitating self-awareness groups for psychotherapists in training.

Kieran also supports both community and charitable organisations. Since 2008 he has worked with the Pathways Foundation, assisting with running experiential programs for fathers and their sons, and also as supervisor for the group facilitators involved with Baby and Beyond, which runs therapy groups for mothers with Post Natal Depression.

Kieran passionately combines his family and work life, enabling him to best honour his head, heart, pocket and soul.
