Experience
At British Airways (UK), John held a series of senior HR, line management and IT positions, leading and working with teams to deliver successful outcomes by managing change. These outcomes were variable in scope and size, ranging in focus from individual change (recruitment/selection, assessment centres, training, redeployment/ outplacement), to large scale merger activities, national arbitration/ conciliation cases and IR negotiations (British Airways/British Caledonian Airways merger, de-skilling of engineering tasks as part of collective bargaining).
John then immigrated to Australia, where he worked as general manager for a major international training provider, prior to joining Results Through People as a director, providing executive coaching, consulting, and training design/delivery services. John holds a number of non-executive board positions, with companies that focus on asset protection (against fire and corrosion) and draw on his entrepreneurial skills acquired from setting up and running a number of SMEs in England and Australia.
John has worked in a broad range of industries, including financial services, legal, local government, media, retail, telecommunications, travel & tourism, and the not-for-profit sector.
John’s natural coaching ability emerged from an innate passion for helping individuals and teams to see and utilise the best in themselves. That ability, honed by experience and education, complements his sense of humour and curiosity about life and people enabling him to provide a very broad based coaching style.
