Experience
Clarice started her career as a teacher and taught at primary, secondary and tertiary levels before joining the public service. She held senior management positions in strategy, and education, employment and training policy and programs.
She was founding chief executive officer of Aspire Training and Consulting, a publisher of training resources. This role entailed negotiating with commercial clients and all levels of government to deliver on national contracts. Using her entrepreneurial skills, she led the organisation from a one-person project to a profitable business with 25 full-time staff and an annual turnover of $5 million.
Her experience as a director and chairing boards, including Family\Planning Victoria, has given her valuable insights into how to optimise management-board relationships. Clarice has successfully coached clients to resolve complex and at times conflicted situations. She understands organisational and industry politics, and supports executives to reframe their ideas and approaches. She is also a successful facilitator in cultural change, career decision making and team building.
Her work is underpinned by a belief that people can gain insight, learn and change throughout their careers.
She is passionate about the outdoors and loves body surfing, bushwalking and bird watching. She also loves reading, art, movies and the theatre.
