Experience

Claire’s 20 years in management, in both commercial and not for profit sectors, has resulted in a passion for leadership excellence and delivering projects on time and on budget, through teamwork.

Starting out as a Chartered Accountant, Claire is experienced at getting to understand key business drivers quickly. Following a period in the newspaper industry, Claire moved into property development and lettings in the UK’s social housing sector. As Director of Resources and Financial Director over 8 years, Claire played a key role in cultural change, governance restructures, and acquisitions, including a focus on integrating the teams.

Claire’s Board member role gave her insight into leading companies both as executive and non-executive Director. Following her move to Australia, Claire moved back into the commercial sector working with Commander and Heinz – Golden Circle.

Claire had the benefit of being coached for 2 years. Triggered initially by the need to adjust to the workings of a larger organisation, Claire found the experience to be transformational, and maintained the coaching relationship as part of her continued professional development. This experience inspired Claire to become a coach while continuing to work in management roles, giving the reality check of implementing in practice the principles and tools that she then brings to her coaching.
