Experience

Starting as a Unilever management trainee in the UK, Carlo progressed through HR into general management and CEO roles with Johnson & Johnson, State Street Bank and the Port of Brisbane Corporation. He counts himself fortunate to have worked in organisations that are leaders in their field, giving him a broader than usual industry background. That breadth of industry and functional background now enables Carlo to adapt to the many diverse business and organisational scenarios he encounters in coaching.

Carlo has led strategic business renewal and managed critical start-ups, takeovers and divestments. He also led a consultant advisory team working for the Hong Kong Government.
Since 1998 Carlo has coached and mentored CEOs and senior executives, consultants, potential leaders, teams and small businesses in a wide range of contexts. Clients value his depth of organisational understanding, his ability to relate and to challenge, and his personal commitment.

Fostering the talents of others has been a hallmark of Carlo’s career whatever role he has held, and has shaped his coaching style. His clients benefit from understanding their perceived coaching needs in a far broader personal, business and organisational context through Carlo’s probing and holistic approach.

In non-consulting life he is on the Board of a major membership association, keeps abreast of current affairs, and enjoys keeping fit, the arts and reading. Grandchildren and family are also wonderfully distracting. He is involved with various community and government committees. He has an abiding interest in improving leadership in business, government and society.
