Experience

Graduating in economics at the Australian National University, Trish worked in the Federal Government as an economist and senior economist in several departments. She moved into the Senior Executive Service (SES) with responsibility for economic and fiscal analysis, providing advice on overall federal budget economic parameters and fiscal policy. She was appointed as Head of the Department of Finance’s office in the Australian Embassy in Washington in the 1990s where she managed the outsourcing of the Australian Government’s payments system and the subsequent closure of the office and redeployment of staff. On her return to Australia, Trish was appointed to the role of General Manager, Human Resources for the Department of Finance.

Trish moved to the private sector in 2000 to work as a consultant with SMS Management & Technology. Her consulting work included managing large scale change management associated with the implementation of an enterprise-wide HR system in Defence. She was then promoted to General Manager and Regional Director level positions in SMS and later Hudson Global Resources. She has also held board positions in the not-for-profit sector.

For the past 6 years, Trish has been working as a coach, facilitator and consultant. She has a strong combination of well-developed people leadership skills as well as a solid track record in business and financial management, strategic planning and process improvement. She is an insightful executive coach and facilitator, using her understanding of people and organisations to work effectively in leadership development from middle to senior executive management levels. She brings her extensive experience across sectors to offer clients different perspectives which help them to uncover constructive options in addressing complex issues, developing their own career or planning their organisational strategy.

Over the past 5 years, Trish has delivered leadership development programs with the Australian Public Service Commission.
