Experience

As an executive coach, Ross draws on a rich background as a practicing psychologist, and expertise with standardised assessment instruments to tailor unique interventions for executives.

As a psychologist in clinical practice, he became a leader in the field of trauma management and crisis response. His trauma work included the armed and emergency services, employing organisations and primary and secondary victims. His larger-scale services included work with the survivors of Port Arthur, Queen Street and Hoddle Street massacres, and he developed a particular interest in leadership during crisis and transition.

He has worked extensively in change management helping executives develop peak performance, resilience and motivation.

Leaving clinical practice in 1999, he became an Associate Faculty member and Coach with Mt Eliza Executive Education and then became a full-time Program Director and was promoted to Director – Public Sector, managing large complex development and change initiatives for public sector organisations in Australia and New Zealand. He also managed a large scale global development initiative for BHP Billiton.

His primary interests are in the development of leadership capability, emotional intelligence and crisis management.
