Experience
A leadership expert and executive coach, Loretta Brown specialises in the development of wisdom and leadership. In thousands of hours of conversation with executives in all sectors, Loretta knows individual, team and organisational leadership challenges inside out.
The desire to ‘change the world’ meant an early career in community development, social work and social change. Over the past 20 years Loretta has been developing leaders in one-to-one coaching engagements, as well as within executive leadership programmes. As Corporate Program Director at the New Zealand Leadership Institute, University of Auckland Business School, Loretta has led long-term leadership development programs with companies such as Westpac and Vector.
Since founding the New Zealand Coaching and Mentoring Centre in 1999, Loretta has actively developed the coaching profession in NZ. Her considerable knowledge and experience have been recognised through the achievement of the Master Coach accreditation from the European Coaching and Mentoring Council.
Loretta’s specialty is working with people in senior roles who tend to be too busy but who are ready to make a real difference. People return to Loretta again and again when they have tough decisions to make, when they feel isolated and when they need a strong strategic sounding board.
With Loretta, leaders sustain wellbeing, while building successful teams, creating profitable, ethical organisations and working for wider positive change.
In between inspiring leaders, Loretta can be found avoiding housework, talking to her chickens and attempting to grow vegetables on Waiheke Island, NZ. She and her husband and two children swim in the ocean, laugh a lot and give thanks to be living in a safe and abundant part of the world.
