Experience

Angela has 15 years experience as a commercial lawyer in both the UK and Australia, most recently with Blake Dawson in Sydney. She has worked with CEOs, directors, executive teams and finance professionals on implementing corporate governance programs, advising on dispute resolution, professional indemnity, financial risks and ASIC proceedings.

Angela has consulted to large organizations on mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, policy change, leadership and management strategy. She has advised receivers, administrators and liquidators following major corporate collapses including HIH, Pan Pharmaceuticals and One-Tel. Other major matters have included the takeover of GIO by AMP, the demutualization of the ASX and the Longford Gas Explosion in Victoria.

Angela has implemented development programs for other lawyers including team building, people management, communication and project management. Angela’s experience not only gives her an in-depth understanding of the demands of professional services firms but also the challenges faced by contemporary corporate organizations particularly at the senior level.

Angela’s pro-bono work has involved mentoring and coaching: young offenders; under-privileged school children; members of a women’s refuge and those living with HIV and AIDS.
